From the Editor
Although there are many stories based on the Shinsengumi, Chiruran stands out for its vivid characters, who are brimming with individuality. Whether hero, villain, or something in between, every character is passionate, determined and full of life… just like a modern day juvenile manga! In this manga, samurai don’t feel like some distant part of history, they feel alive! With the excellent drawing style of Hashimoto-sensei, you can almost feel them breathing over your shoulder as you read it! Please take special note of each character’s final moments – the time which determines their worth as a Samurai. Put simply, this isn’t just another historical manga, but rather an exciting tale of young, determined, sometimes violent Samurai.Source: manga-audition
